Education and Learning

Keeping disadvantaged children in school and learning, from uniforms, shoes and books to breakfast and mentoring.

Overview

Every child deserves to learn with dignity. Many children in public schools go to class without a uniform, shoes or basic supplies, and many survive on one meal a day. These children stand out, fall behind and are more likely to leave school.

Our education work removes those barriers. Through the School Clothing Project we provide uniforms and shoes for disadvantaged children, orphans and the frail. Through Breakfast before School and our book drive we help children arrive fed and equipped to learn. The work contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4: inclusive, quality education.

Objectives

  • Ensure every child appears in a good school uniform
  • Reduce the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria
  • Promote inclusive, quality education (SDG 4)
